I actually feel terrible questioning what she has gone through but the being taken abroad seems a bit strange.
Was it an ex who did this to her or someone she knew well?
Hopefully, she decided to take this further and have the attacker punished for his crimes as he must be a huge threat to other women.

It is all a bit weird how the story 'broke' and the details all make it sound very odd.
I get the feeling it was less of a kidnapping and more of a "going away with somebody I knew, who in hindsight was keeping me intoxicated manipulating me for his own benefit". OK that's a lot like kidnapping, but not in what I imagine the traditional sense is... I mean how do you get through multiple airports with somebody who's completely off their face?

One quote from that article makes me think whoever did this to her was someone very powerful;
"She contemplated running away but was afraid he would call the police."
So a country with a corrupt police force?
They could have flown by private jet so security would have been far more relaxed.

The other week she announced a new album was coming out.
Harsher.Perhaps I am naive, but I can't imagine somebody making something like this up to sell records.
I also don't think anyone can interrogate the piece and pick holes in it. It's clearly a fairly broad-brush account of what happened. Would you like her to take the stand or do a reconstruction on TV?

Reading between the lines it sounds like it was an ex. So I can quite believe that some of the events being described happened such as being drugged. Whether she at times willingly took those drugs is another matter. There are probably two sides to the story and that is the most likely scenario not that it was invented entirely. JagLover said:

That seems to be the bit (punishment) that’s missing, for such a heinous crime, committed by someone she apparently knew.But I do hope that the album is a success - she has been gone far too long.
