How do I search the archives?

I want to find a single post and thread from about 10 years ago, I am now involved with the vehicle it featured and I would love to add it to some of our history of it.

Is there a specific archive area and can I narrow the search down to just a specific sub-folder?

Simple answer no. The search is now Google search rather than anything bespoke.

What subforum would you be interested in? There might be a way to do it I can think of.

It would have been in the home cinema and hi-fi sub-group and was about the Vintage Mobile Cinema (www.vintagemobilecinema.co.uk) but around 2009/10 from memory.

A guy called Oli came on here, asking for help while renovating the vehicle and we all chipped in with advice and some even gave him kit to use.

Does that help narrow stuff down.

It was one that was while it was still being renovated, which would put it about 2008/9/10 if there is anything from back there. I thought I contributed to it, but thats a long way back to trawl to in my own posts.

Basically I became involved about 5 years ago.

Oli Halls would have posted about it.

Is there anything from around that time?

The only way to search is by adding

site:www.pistonheads.com/gassing into Google before entering other search terms. e.g.

site:www.pistonheads.com/gassing vintage mobile cinema

You can pick a date range under the Tools option in the results page.

If you want to see your posts from a certain time you can edit the address bar of how many days back you are looking, these are yours posts from 5000-5030 days ago for example

You can change the 5000 to the time you are looking at which may help?

I am struggling to track it down either way, I wonder if it got deleted?

I'm going to ask in the actual forum to see if anyone remembers donating stuff, see if I can trace it that way.
