Have noticed that 'the initiated' look knowingly and nod wisely while looking at the crumpled label inside the bonnet. Can anyone decipher mine please? :wobble:

See where it says C16 underneath the big L92M?

Well that list is the list of options applied to this car (and quite a list it is in your case!).

use the option decoder here to help you understand what each one is:

the only essential options are:
TD (top down)
ROEE (roar of engine and exhaust)
4K+ (just hit 4000rpm and the variocam has kicked in)
423 (fourth into third just before the chicane)
625 (sixth into fifth so as to leave behind the cocky corsa boy racer who fancies his chances)

and you still all have too much time on your hands

Sounds like you should replace your option 625 with my option 2@@ (twin turbos)...

ah...not enough room under the bonnet for twin turbos, sadly. now, option 9MS (a 9M supercharger) on the other hand.....

Couple I would still like to decipher...

236
695

Even my friend Google has been stumped by these codes... Anyone know their meaning before I e-mail the supplying dealer to ask?

I'm looking for the codes - 539 and 540 on a 996 Turbo

They don't come up on the Kindels option code page.

Any ideas?

Can't help on that, but the missing options I have are
236: Internal Porsche code relating to wheels and tyres
695: CDR-22

That info came from Porsche through my dealer, so I guess they are accurate if anyone's interested.

695 was the last one to find out for mine so thanks Bliar for that 1.

To put a little more meat on the bones regarding 432 and Martini Stripes, mine has the code but no stripes as well. Further investigation gives "4 spoke sports leather steering wheel 363mm". Obviously not correct as mine has a 3 spoke wheel. Also the code means "protective laquer finish" which is probably more likely.

The 236 option is 18" wheels and tyres.
