being as I can really only have youtube music going whilst I am WFH I'm 'missing out on' lots of TV/film but the musical memories are brilliant!

It did strike me though that music that was shocking and/or ground-breaking is, these days, quite tame. Examples?

Sex Pistols - I remember the furor caused by their TV appearances (to be fair it would also be talked about today) and the music. Music which, to be perfectly honest, these days seems to be the equivalent of pop music (well not quite, but hopefully you get what I mean) or at worst mainstream - it's even played on R2 for God's sake!

I also stumbled across Bronski Beat "Small Town Boy", back in the day I quite enjoyed the tune - these days it seems, to me, to be an incredibly brave bit of music (with an excellent tune).

Any other thoughts?
