In some ways I like it, others I think it was a waste of $250. Not sure. I guess I’ll wear it in for a bit and see.

Anyone else have one of these? Or want to share an opinion?

I love mine on Rubber-B. Makes the watch must less of a 'Rolex' to criminals as it doesn't look like the stereo typical Rolex.

I think it looks great. And nice to have both options of course.

My own before and after:

I like it, nice change from the Oyster. Thinking of getting one for my SD4k.

The best way to make your Submariner look like a Bill Gates Casio.

Only kidding.

If you like a rubber strap then go for it. I personally don’t see why it costs $250, seems massively excessive to me.

Crafter Blue also make some nice rubber straps at slightly more sane prices. Maybe worth a look.

Quality is shockingly good for a tenner.

straps on Aliexpress are hit and miss. Sometimes good sometimes dire. I tried the oysterflex reps and they are dire, ended up getting a real one from my AD. I've had Rubber-B reps and they have been fine although I find that they were a lint magnet compared to a genuine RubberB. What I done was spritz the strap with Meguairs quick detailer and wipe off. Darkened the rubber ever so slightly but more importantly, stopped the lint getting stuck!

This! Have a Rubber B on my DSSD, really enjoyed it for a few months but back on the bracelet now.

On things like a Sub or a planet ocean I much prefer the rubber strap as it adds to the utility of the watch. On things like a GMT or a Chrono I prefer metal.

I think it looks great!

Totally agree it suits the sports rather than GMTs for my taste and utility. Turns my Sub in to a proper holiday watch!

Well, the transformation has been reversed. I found it pretty uncomfortable to wear and Rubber B super awkward to deal with. Back to the original bracelet...and that’s where I’ll stay!

Quick resurrection of this thread.

If anybody is looking for a Rubber B used strap code M103 for older Rolex Submariner and GMT non ceramic watches I have one for sale.

It's in black and at present has a non Rolex stainless steel clasp on it. Used but good condition. I bought it used in error and never fitted it.

PM me please if of interest.

Thanks

I never really think Ruuber B / Everest straps etc on the 5 digit watches despite the cliinky bracelets, maybe there is a mismatch of eras.

I’ve also never seen a strap that I thought suited a GMT, there is really so little difference at a quick glance between Sub and GMT that it shouldn’t be that different annd I never like them on NATOs either, never seen a strap I like on a 42mm Explorer 2 either but I want to try a chocolate brown suede one.
