Just wondered who had changed their shopping habits, found a new supplier, maybe returned to a previous shop. Maybe cobbled together something from the cupboard or dug up an old recipe?
For me, I returned to Morrison’s and forgot how good their chilled stuff is, I’m a complete Aldi convert, it was nice to try some other stuff but the price was still the killer.
Also tried batch cooking for the first time. It went well, produced 8 portion of a blitzed veg and tomato base that I could use for a chilli or a bolognese sauce. Problem is, I’m not really sure how to cook it from frozen, I poured it into freezer bags so do I just chuck it in a pan or warm it up in boiling water like boil in the bag rice??
Also wondered how anyone has found things like online butchers, I’ve never used them but did have a look at some sites, obviously they are snowed under but some looked very good and I would consider using them when things eventually calm down, any recommendations??

Started using local shops more.
Not local shops as in the PH meaning of Costwold village butchers, but the scruffy, ethnically owned, convenience type stores
As no queues.
Call me spoilt by supermarkets, but I think I prefer it when the shelves have a price on them
as no idea what anything costs most of the time. Some are at least scanning stuff so you know there is a fixed price. Others are the ones who just type numbers in....
Now they either know the price of 500 lines of products and are wasted working on a till in a shop, or, as I suspect, just suspect making things up! But I can't say, as they don't do receipts!
