Tyre Puncture repair kits.
Discussion
Yes used one, it was pretty easy to use & did the job.
Always carry a kit just in case (though they can't deal with all punctures of course).
This is the one I use https://www.mandp.co.uk/products/stop-and-go-pocke...

don't get the ones with the gooey sticks just didn't work well in the rain at the roadside, not too sure there are enough C02 canisters to inflate tyre
i ended up calling green flag
though when you have the time and patience (not at the road side) they work, wife's car tyre has had one in for six months

From experience I wouldn't use any of these for any more than getting you home or to somewhere that can do a proper repair.
What experience would that be then. The primary aim would be to get you home and, depending where on the tyre the puncture is, perhaps continue to use the tyre.PIGINAWIG said:
Your experience hasn’t gone too well then! I’ve plugged a nearly new tyre whilst on tour and completed 3000 miles with a plug, no issues. It’s not ideal, but they’re pretty good these days. Plenty of mates have done the same too.
Ditto, plugged a fair few now and not had problems and used the tyre until it needed replacing.I've used sticky strings a few times. Each time I had access to a pump during the repair so not used to the CO2 cartridges.
Buy some extra rubber solution to put in the kit along with some mini pliers. Be generous with the solution when doing the repair.
The repairs have held up well...I still have one in. After removing a tyre with two repairs and inspecting from the inside I couldn't pull the string loop out.

I've got one with the mushrooms and have used it twice on rear tyres of my Tiger Sport, both for a couple thousand miles a piece. Great bit of kit and not expensive. It doesn't come with CO2, but I've seen a nifty looking small form battery pump on Facebook recently that looks ideal for carrying on the bike.

I also have one of these kits and have successfully used the plugs on 3 occasions, in all cases the plug has lasted until the tyre wore out, in case about 4k miles. I carry the kit plus extra CO2 cannisters.Always carry a kit just in case (though they can't deal with all punctures of course).

I have used various brands/sellers versions of these sticky strips repair kits over the last 10 years or so. Repaired many bike and car punctures. All have survived many 1000s of miles post repair, always lasting the remaining life of the tyre.
Most recent kit I bought, cheaper but without the CO2 inflation option, was https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01M2Z5VR1/ref...
The kits work perfectly. First time you fix one, it takes some time to get used to exactly how you need to apply (YT videos help), but after that first time, it takes 2-3 minutes maximum to effect a perfect repair.
