Im in the process of converting a 205 gti back to standard. There was a turbo fitted and the turbo return to sump was installed into the bottom of the block. There is a hole already in the block but ive scratched my head and cant work out what its for , is there an oil sensor that goes in ? I dont think the hold is threaded. In the picture the hole I'm describing is next to the gold bolt...

It's been a long time since I had a 205, but doesn't the oil filler and breather go to the bottom of the block via a long prone to fail rubber hose?

Hi mate yeah on the front of f the block it does, bu this hole ends up being on the back ( exhaust manifold side ) i cant work it out. I suspected the hole was drilled to make way for the turbo return but nope its there beforehand for a reason

Why don't you ask on here. They are probably more knowledgeable on 205's.

I hope this helps.

The large hole is for the rubber oil filler pipe. The small hole is for the rubber pipe that goes to the cam cover.

The part you have ringed in red is where the oil pump fits.

Not a perfect diagram, but it gives you an idea of what I`m describing.
