My old Frontline Chorus has packed up and is beyond economical repair. I was very surprised to see the prices of the 80s Japanese stuff on Ebay so I was wondering if anyone has tried any of the Chinese pedals? Behringer has been recommended to me but their chorus pedal doesnt seem to have very good reviews for the tone. It will probably only ever be used at home.

Anyone using a decent Chinese chorus?

I've got a few Joyo pedals, including their Classic Chorus, sounds alright to me, and gets consistenly good reviews.

I've also have an interest in repairing pedals, what are your plans for the Frontline one?

Well if someone could fix it at a reasonable price I'd like to keep it. I think I connected a 12v adaptor instead of a 9v.

Putting 12v into it should not hurt it, pedals run at 9v as the batteries are a convenient size, but the components and chips are designed to work at higher voltages. Unless the bypass circuit Jfets have blown...
