Aston Martin Db9 not smart charging.
Discussion
Hi Guys, I’m getting pretty stressed out with my old 9 now, for 6 months I’ve been having issues with the charging, originally started overcharging at 16volts and alternator light came on.
Removed alternator, had a new regulator fitted, but alternator was checked first and all fine, just changed as a precaution.
Re fitted and after a month of fiddling, found the 12v batt send wire(white) of 3 pin plug was dead, possible fuse box fault, put a battery feed to this wire and hey presto, it’s charging normal but light comes on after 2 mins and warning display. Wire to pcm2 is belled out fine and 3rd wire to ign feed through resistor is working fine aswell.
Just fed up with this now, also fitted new silver calcium battery?
Any help will be so helpful.
Carl🙏
