Hi one and all, hope you’re all keeping virus free!
I will take delivery of my latest purchase once the lockdown allows fresh MOT, had loads of pics and the car looks stunning. I’ve owned a few E30s over the years and three 318is’s, lovely drive!
Anyway, I’m thinking giving it a mild stance, larger wheels, coil overs and a bit of camber, nothing too OTT. I’m in the Portsmouth area, any recommendations for someone to do the work please? Also rust protection companies?
Many thanks in advance.

Lovely looking car. I fancied one of these back in the late 90's when I had a 318 lux. No advice for you on mods. But if it was mine, it would be kept looking standard as it looks great

Awesome old school car, personally they are perfect just as they are, totally standard.

Thanks, they are lovely cars and I've searched a long time for one that looks this good.
I won't be going crazy, I just want to fill the arches a tad more and give it a touch of camber, keep it subtle...

APM is up in Waterlooville. They would be worth a call. https://www.apmmotors.co.uk/index.html

Thats lovely! And I agree with you, it will looks brilliant with a touch of 'stance'. Its not a performance version so certainly no harm done in my opinion smile

Cracking things these. I wouldn't be modifying it though, they are perfect as they are. It's survived 30 years or so without being hit with the barry stick.

Slight drop, 16" Style 5's (aka Sport EVO wheels). That's all that's needed.

Beauty!!
My first BMW was a silver E30 318iS with BBS wheels, so I have a soft spot for them.
Also owned an E36 318iS a few years ago which I took on an Euro trip along the French coast. Sadly, it was rear ended and written off.

Cheers for that, I am actually in Waterlooville!
I used to use E-Tech in Havant, may try them too.
As I’ve said previously I really do want to keep it subtle.
It is on 14’s, I’d only go 22” max. No seriously thinking 15 or 16”
with a drop of 40mm max and just a few degrees of camber.

I have history with E30’s

Very nice esp with the sunroof

That was the one that sold at h&h auction last summer.
Was indeed owned by driving guru John Lyon

I'd say 17's is the right size for an E30
