Camcorder Connection Advice!

Hi, just dug out a 1996 Sony Video 8 Pro video camera, but cannot get it to display a picture on my latest TVs! Is this something to do with analogue unit to new digital display?
Ive tried the supplied Sony plug that combines 2 RCA and a small jack that results in a standard aerial plug on the other end.

It sounds like you're describing a modulator. Are you providing it power?

Would be easier if your TV had a composite input - many TVs come with a little adapter dongle...
