Not teaching you to suck eggs but have you tried getting insured on the cars yet? First cars tend not to have badges like Sport or RS attached to them due to the thousands of pounds of insurance that comes with it

Run the insurance and see which is cheapest, and id leave the tuning until you ve got some no claims, unless you ve alot of money to be paying the insurance etc.

Check online to see what you can get a quote on , those you've listed May all be a no no on cost grounds .

First & foremost you need something that you can get insurance on.
Which for a new young male driver is likely to rule out sporty and tuned stuff.

From your list I'd choose the Renault.

But as others have said, don't get your hopes up until you've had an insurance quote.

My daughter has paid £1200 to insure her first car, a VW UP 1.0cc.

And we live in an area that insurance companies are kind to, so depending where you are it may be more expensive than your expecting.

Did anyone mention insurance?
Remember to check them stating your test passed as well as as a learner.
Quotes for learners are much cheaper than newly qualified drivers.

The above all over!

Don't be fooled with a cheap quote as a learner driver,as soon as you pass your test the premium will most likely triple which could mean you having to sell the car for something cheaper to insure.

I was fortunate in that my first car was a 2001 mk1 Focus 2.0 Zetec ESP. Cost me about £1300 to insure as I was in the capital. Cracking car except when I was driving round the north circular, and the front right brake decided to come on all by itself, which was as fun as it sounds.

I must have liked the car though as I've had two more of them since then, almost by 'accident'.

Generally go for a something in a nice low insurance group, and nothing too nice that will attract theft etc. Happy motoring!
