Lockdown opportunities/adventures

Many see lockdown as house arrest.

But it also offers opportunities.

I've have some great early morning and late night/early morning/all night bike rides. No traffic, no noise. Fantastic.

Also great opportunity for taking interesting photographs.

I've also enjoyed learning more about gardening and have spent far too much to make my lawn look like the 18th at Augusta.

The local golf course is top level and with it being closed I have enjoyed beautiful evening walks along the silky fairways.

What opportunities/adventures have you had?

Probably spending more time than we would have previously interacting/playing etc with our 6 month old. Not an adventure as such, but people keep saying it's a time of life you should enjoy and not wish it away, so it's a bit of a lockdown silver lining for us I guess.

Yes, we have had a fantastic time with our 12 month old. Creating a strong bond has been great.

Buy a car battery booster, I think there will plenty of flat batteries when people come to start their cars in a few weeks.

It's given me the opportunity to be even more miserable than normal.

On the plus side, if you substitute the word "lockdown" with the word "holiday" the news isn't so bad.

Discovering our local woods. I've lived in the area for 20 years, and there are a few areas of woods around us, which we've never been in. We do a daily walk and have explored all the woods. Most have well worn paths and it's made for really pleasant walks.

I really think we're going to do more recreational walking when this is over.

I think for those living in decent conditions and a healthy relationship this is one of the big upsides, I was busy building a business when my girls were babies and I just didn't do enough. My youngest girl returned home from Uni for the lockdown and I've spent more time with her than ever, it's really made me reflect and appreciate how lucky I am.
