It’s been a while since The Traveling Wilburys and a long, long time since Cream or Blind Faith.
So, your nominations please for a 2020 new supergroup…
A drummer
1 or 2 guitarists
A bass player
You can * any of these as your vocalist or add 1 or 2 dedicated singers.
Optionally you can have a keyboardist and name the producer of their first album.
All candidates must be alive and give thought to who might work well together. Remember that not everyone might be familiar with all your choices so please indicate what current groups your nominations come from.
And finally, give the band a name.

As much as I would like to add Steve Hogarth to the Vocals, would love to hear him with Peter Gabriel, I have to say you have to have David Crosby and Graham Nash as the backing vocals, harmony does not get any better.

I really struggled with that. It was just that I thought they could trade lead lines when needed (a la Joe Walsh / Don Felder) but that Guthrie would be more inventive with the chord work.
Rather randomly, I saw what I consider to be a Supergroup in LA in 1995.
My ex-wife was a fan of Johnny Depp and wanted to visit the bar he co-owned - The Viper Room.
We were on holiday and decided to join the unexpectedly large queue outside the very small premises. The sign outside said "Mr Moos - playing tonite"
What we got was the most random and awesome line up :
Brian Setzer (Stray Cats)
Steve Jones (Sex Pistols)
Duff McKagen (Guns N Roses)
Matt Sorum (Guns N Roses)
John Taylor (Duran Duran)

I'd say that a few people above have missed the bit about them working well with each other. Mine:
Drummer: Gavin Harrison - genius drummer
Bass Player: Lee Pomeroy - can play everything
Guitar: Brian May - rock
Guitar: Dave Gilmour - feel
Singer: Kate Bush - the female Freddy Mercury- talent and showmanship
Band's called The Aeronauts.
Wouldn't be even remotely tempted to go and see them though.

Of all the suggestions so far, I'd go and see this band, I think the individual talents would sound great together, some of the others seem more like a list of great musicians.Guitar 1- John Frusciante
