An apology? Is that the best Lancashire police can do? That asshole officer needs to be sacked then prosecuted for attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Ah. The dysfunctional belgian returns.

Which reminds me, I must put popcorn on the list for the next time I join the Sainsbury's car park shopping queue.

Looking like a small time drug dealer should be an arrestable offence.

They always say this, are they implying they need to go back to school?

I’m sure there was more than 12 seconds recorded

Be interesting to see

Clearly something was said/happened that triggered the Cop

In the olden days that would be telling someone their fortune and to wind their neck in

Not saying it’s right, but like most of these things there will be far more to this

But I’m sure it will/has “ triggered” some on here

The copper should be sacked.

Anyone who thinks that is any way acceptable is living on a different planet to me.

He is a bully who wasn't getting his own way.

The country should be one full of professors if "lessons had actually been learnt"

I suppose the politicians etc have to "manage expectations" rolleyes

Please suggest a scenario that would have made his actions acceptable.

I'd throw in the caveat that it can't be something that could lead to an arrest. Otherwise, the bully boy in uniform wouldn't have to threaten to make things up.

So it has to be something lawful that caused such an outburst.

Some officers are like this they have a chip on the shoulder and run around demanding respect and if they don't get it this is what happens. Some have personality disorders and they join to feed their need to be above others and exert power over others.

Can't see how this guy is not dealt with but outside probation professional standards is just an ass-covering division! Many forces use civilians to investigate cops and hope they can drag out complaints past the 6-month window, see a case recently of copper who head-butted a guy for not moving out of his way on a shout, there was independent witnesses etc and it was open and shut case and guess what no charges brought and now 6 months has passed and its been dropped.

And that unfortunately is why many people have lost any 'respect' for the police.

Genuine question. What have the police done to you that lets you hate them so much?

Ah David, there you are! How's Belgium?
Never mind. Actually on this occasion I think you have a point; that officer was totally wrong and should be disciplined. You can't have policemen saying "I'll make it up, they won't believe you", that's not acceptable.
Oh, by the way, all your other posts are still bonkers.

Cop is a dick for uttering those words and should be investigated to see whether it amounts to misconduct.

It's not attempting to pervert - it wouldn't be a DB topic without him demonstrating he has no idea what he's talking about.

It's mainly police / ex-police who work in PSDs.

The 6-month comments show you further don't know what you're talking about. The summary only time limits don't apply to misconduct.

I wonder if the lad who he spoke to will also get a £60 fine for breach of corona legislation.

Last time i checked "buying a quad bike" wasnt necessary travel.

Lets treat everyone as equal yes?

The guy was a dick, the cop could just have been trying to scare him.
