Is this model based upon a real car?
Discussion
I'm building one at the moment, the maker's web site describes it as a Grand Prix Car based on the racing-sports cars that participated in the very first Grand Prix race that had taken place in Italy back in the early 20th century. :

Yes I saw that, so we'll assume it's not a specific car then?https://ugears.online/products/u-9-grand-prix-car?...
It's taken my son forever to assemble the engine. But I am pleased with how he has stuck with it.

Interesting take on early racing history there! As one might expect, "Grand Prix" being French for Big Prize, we normally credit the 1906 Grand Prix de l'ACF as the first to be called a Grand Prix but in the same year the first Targa Florio was held. Throughout its history the Targa Florio was never called a GP and the Gran Premio d'Italia was first held in 1921 by which time the cars looked more like this:

It looks like a few of the cars which competed in the 1906 French GP but not the Renaults.

it seems pretty close to the Mercedes SSK, with wheel-arches deleted for ease of construction?
