Clunk!

Have you guys experienced any "clunking" sound underneath the engine area when you accelerate? Somtimes when stepping on the gas pedal from a stop or at a slow speed, the car will hesitate and jerk a little and create a "clunking" noise (there is only one clunk sound when I accelerate). It feels like something has dropped underneath the car. I've took the car to the dealer and they said the u/cv joints, engine and transmission mounts and sway bar are all tight and ok. Do you guys know what else could have caused this "clunk" sound?

If its an automatic I'd say the transmission is having problems.
