NW motorway police facebook page just popped with this,car stopped on m62 no insurance also found this slightly iffy tyre.
what is going on in your head when you think it,ll be alright to drive at speed like this

I remember many years ago, driving my carbed XR3 with Bilstein suspension, on the M62. Came off at J24, a left hand bend, up to the roundabout, a left hand bend, along the A road for a mile or two to the next roundabout, came of at the first exit, so took it all as a sweeping left hand bend, down the dual carriageway to the junction I wanted on the right, and promptly spun the car. NSR tyre was flat and the outer bead was in the wheel centre, and the tread was delaminating, but not yet gone.

I have no idea how long it had been flat, but it had obviously been a while. I wasn’t giving it any stick, just driving along on three wheels while the fourth overheated.
