Will a lacquer darken grey paint?
Discussion
Hi All,
All the years I have been posting, I didn't realise there was a technical forum for bodywork and painting.
I have sprayed this keyboard case to match the old Amiga console next to it. The case is steel so I used Halfords primer over the existing beige finish then used a grey aerosol that the paint shop matched as close as possible to the console.
I think a clear lacquer would give it a similar level of reflection to the console plastic? Would it also make it slightly darker do you think to improve the colour match? The indoor lighting is making everything look a bit yellowed.
Thank you.

And should I gently rub it down a little with some ultra fine steel wool to smooth it a little before I apply the lacquer? I did this after I applied the primer and if felt much smoother. The texture you can see was from the original paint job.
