Can i be furloughed after handing my notice in ?

I have been asked to work 4 days a week with 20% salary reduction. This would last for at least 3 months and may be longer.

My manager is going to email me a document to sign.

As per my contract they can't force this on me but if i refuse to accept it then i think they will probably terminate my contract with 3 month notice.

Few months ago, i was told that i will be TUPED over to thrid party vendor and the start date will be around Aug this year. This is something else i need to consider in case my start date falls with in the salary reduction period.

I am grateful to have a job and i think we can survive on 20% pay cut for 6 months.

Not sure if this is a right time to change a job, i have been applying for jobs and may get a job offer in few days.

If i get a new job offer then should i hand in my 3 month notice? this way i will get a full 3 month salary?

The other option is, i refuse to work 4 days a week and if employer terminate my contract then may be i can get a redundancy payment along with full 3 month salary.

Also, can i be furloughed after handing my notice in ?
