I remember reading about these in CCC back in the day!
One article was an epic road trip possibly even LEJOG and it was thwarted by a misfire which was cured with a new set of points.

Interesting. I always think it'd fun to put some Japanese kei car running gear in things like these, something like the daihatsu 0.7l.
