Vehicle Transport Options...

Hi all,

I've been given a rough quote of £400-£500 for a fully insured vehicle transport, for a return journey of around 100-120 ish mile to the factory and back...

Is this a decent price from what any of you have experienced? Given that it is fully enclosed and insured up to £3Mil and that the driver will stay with the vehicle for the whole day!!!

Have you spoken to the factory, the people they use seem very reasonable. It cost me a lot less than that when I had the car taken to the factory (from St. Ives, Cambs) for the pre-check, then from the factory to Nottingham SVA and then from there back home.

just how much does that add up to for "inspection"

If trailing it myself had not been an option then I would have used the Factory transport contractor.
The guy has probably transported more Ultima than I have ever seen so he knows what he is doing.
More to the point he has vehicles of the right width i.e. wider than allmost all others out there.
