Good shout, though they’ll get their money some other way that’s for sure.

Email from them today states:

If your car or van is one of the 4.4 million vehicles insured with us on 20 April 2020, you’ll get an automatic £25 refund per vehicle.

They’ve probably saved 10 times that because of fewer claims

I wouldn't be surprised if in the small print it says there is an admin charge of £30 to administer the £25 refund hehe

Just SORN your car if you don't want to pay VED whilst not using it.

For those of us without a driveway or private land to keep it on, we're opening ourselves up to a £1k fine or clamping as untaxed...

Got an email from them today confirming that I will receive a £25 refund per insured car (I have 3 with them). Good on them I say, they did not have to do this.

A lot of insurers in the US are generally offering around 15-20% discount on insurance during the pandemic, for example: https://www.progressive.com/support/covid19/

Not suitable if you need your car intermittently. It would be far fairer if they just scrapped it and stuck a few pence of "VED" on a litre of petrol instead.

Admiral can shove their £25 up their useless f**king arses. Bunch of wkers.

Glad I've got that off my chest.

We've been with them for years. Always been brilliant even went I went through a phase of bouncing cars off anything that stood still long enough.

Received my £50 today for the two cars. Brilliant gesture. I'm sure they will make it back but for now it's genius PR. Bravo.

Bus company claimed my wife crashed into one of their double deckers... whilst she was in labour with me holding her hand.

They 'settled the claim' months after I'd cancelled my policy and charged by debit card 'accordingly'.

It's ongoing. Useless wkers.
