Bt mail to outlook conversion
Discussion
My uncle is on BT mail but wanting to move over to use outlook as it's more secure with 2 factor auth & wants to use things like one drive more with it & other microsoft products
I have done it previously myself from hotmail to outlook but not BT mail & could do with any advice if anyone has managed to move the emails using the online import tool microsoft provide as part as outlook.
Also i know there is a way to auto forward emails to the new email address but is there a setting whereby he can send an email or reply from his outlook but it goes via his BT email address as he doesn't want to circulate a new email address to everyone and rather people just use his BT email address.
Thanks guys!

Are we talking the full blown Outlook client?
If so then install it, create an account and connect it to the BT email account via POP3/SMTP or better IMAP. https://www.bt.com/help/email/manage-email-account... All the emails will download into Outlook and you can move them into a PST file for record keeping. Or connect to your email new email provider as well with an Outlook account and move the files out of the PST into a folder you create with the new email provider.
If he keeps both BT and new email provider connected to his copy of Outlook then when he replies or creates a new email he can select in the 'From' field which account he wants the email to be sent from, either BT or the new provider.
