Any ideas if this can be repaired?
Discussion
Some creative individual has been vandalising cars in my area over the past few days. One guy was caught doing similar in a neighbouring street last night and was rearrested after having just been released for the same offence.
It looks like mine has been shot at with an air pistol/rifle. Any ideas if it could be repaired or will it require a new rear quarter panel? I'd like to have a go with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch but that's just on the guy that did it.

How depressing. It looks like mine has been shot at with an air pistol/rifle. Any ideas if it could be repaired or will it require a new rear quarter panel? I'd like to have a go with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch but that's just on the guy that did it.

If you can get behind it I am sure one of the paintless dent guys will have a go. if not, I have seen those drilled and then pulled out. Either way a bloody inconvenience due to the actions of an idiot but shouldn't require a new panel IMO.

OK that was just an assumption, what do you think might make a similar dent? Maybe one of those window breaking tools?
My neighbour's car had two holes in their rear window.
With air rifle pellets I'd expect them to remove paint around the point of impact, they usually leave grey coloured circles too which is a very think layer of lead - remnants of the pellet. Looks like it's been it with something sharp and pointy but I've no idea what.My neighbour's car had two holes in their rear window.

Have a chat with a PDR tech although I suspect they'll point you in the direction of a bodyshop.

Assuming they're using lead pellets instead of steel ball bearings (of any size that will fit down the barrel) or a steel pellet such as the Prometheus.

Thanks, I’m popping in to a bodyshop tomorrow for a quote. I’m hoping it’ll be cheaper than the insurance excess. Have a chat with a PDR tech although I suspect they'll point you in the direction of a bodyshop.
