Thought I would upload a photograph of my Honda CRX 1.6-16, not the Vtec. Nice original condition, apart from the exhaust. Always puts a smile on my face when I drive it.

Superb car smile

My 1st ever foray into Honda's was an EF8 CRX; which unfortunately died from tin worm, so bought a CRX Del Sol after that and then went onto DC5s, ATRs and Preludes etc

I'm still toying with the idea of importing another EF8 CRX B16 from Japan to build a weekend/garage queen; just need to see how thngs are once were all out of this crisis etc

Cool car,

They must be very rare nowaday. Love the lightweight high revs ethos. Can understand why it would still be a great drive.

Anybody remember the CRX race series? They were usually cracking races.

Had a red CRX back in the early nineties only sold it when I got a company car, so regretted letting that one go, would love another one if I could find a minter.

Fantastic!
I had three, F585 KFE, Another G reg and a 93 K57 BWK Vtec, one of the last before the del sol.
I saw the F reg on eBay a couple of years ago, stripped back as a track car. Broke my heart.

Wish I still had the Vtec, sold it at 27k miles. Idiot.

Does it ‘sing’ to you as it sits there?

I had a G plate (G591 NAV) 1.6-16i one of those after my 205 gti felt a lot more "grown up" then the pug, although it badly needed a 6th gear!

Looked at buying another one but it wouldn't be the same now I don't think.

Early 2000s in my early driving days I so wanted one of these. And once even had a great race against a vtec one in my Sunny GTI, private track of course. They were getting rarer back then and I assume they suffered from terminal rust.

Always loved the shape, that kammback tale stlye especially. Which also looks great on the crv and to a lesser extent the c4 coupe.

Very cool car and I'm jealous.

Great little cars. Never owned one but used to work in the Jap car scene. Nice to see an unmolested one!

Om, just in front of Gatehouse in Portmeirion? my car was parked in the exact same spot to unload our bags just before Christmas. Magical place, on a nice day I wouldn't want to be anywhere else

Great car OP looks in fantastic order

My second car was a CRX, a big upgrade from a 1 litre Corsa biggrin

Unfortunately bought in the F&F stage so it was kitted with a big wing lol... did enjoy it at the time though. I even got it completely resprayed in Subaru WR Blue because why not.

I had an F reg CRX in silver that I put 80k miles on before having to sell (to the guy who ran the owners club) when I got a company car.

Still the best all rounder I have owned, and a fabulous engine.

We had a Concerto 1.6i-.16 back in the day as family wheels- a 216 GTi R8 Rover in Honda format essentially. D16 was great in that- so no doubt even better in a little Rex

What do they weigh?

Very solid cars as both the CRX & Rover 216GTi had their own race series’ back in the early 90’s

Lost count how many CRX we have had over the years, every colour and virtually every variation, JDM and UK spec,
this is a nice VT, really liked the white ones, your 16 valve looks very clean for the year. wink

great fun engine in the rover 216 twin cam gti, can only imagine its more fun in the smaller car.

Decent cold air intake, exhuast, timing adjustment and I was led to believe almost 150bhp was available

as a weekend car, I'd love one.
