A good result.. when you bribed someone.

Following on from the complain/not complain threads, have you ever bribed anyone and got a result? Last year in Durban Airport South Africa i asked the guy at the car rental desk if any upgrades were available, he said no free ones, so i gave him my passport with 1000rand and he wandered off, my rental went from a Datsun whatever to a Merc c class, the difference in rental charges was around £350 i donated to the beer fund around £60.
