DB9 trans fault
Discussion
Got the car out of the garage to take for MOT it won’t go into park comes up trans fault.
So started to drive in for a 1hr in and out of neutral and back into drive and reverse.
Had to go and fill up with petrol used the service key,car went into park.
Got to the MOT station used the glass key this then when to park as well.
My question is has my glass key got a code fault or something else is happening.

It’s a simple fix buddy... the ‘arm’ for the transmission park gets a bit jammed. It’s on a cable controlled by a motor.
All you need to do is push the arm towards the front of the car.
You can get yourself down by the drivers side rear wheel arch, feel up for the transmission tunnel and there should be an arm controlled by a cable there. It’s not easy to see unless the car is jacked up. It’s almost where the rear seat is... push it forward... that’ll park lock it. It gets stuck sometimes. Don’t overthink this bud... it’s just a very minor issue, not a gearbox rebuild

I know but the DVLA web still shows I could not get tax with out the mot ????
Your MoT date should get extended once it's within 3 days of expiry. Mine did, and now it's good until October. My tax renews at the end of the month by DD so hopefully that will go through just fine now.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
