Go for supermarket own brand versions - just as effective and you'll have a better profit margin. Trouble is, it won't be long before you run out of customers.

Reckitt Benckiser who own brands like Dettol and Cillit Bang have had to put out a statement.

Improper use of Disinfectants

Actions have consequences and sadly a lot of Trump's fans are a little on the challenged side.

"And then I see the disinfectant where it knocks it [coronavirus] out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning?
"So it'd be interesting to check that."

It’s exactly what he said.

Definitely "low rent" - simply because Trump is a "low rent" kind of guy (except when acting as landlord - of course).

The mind boggles both at his utter stupidity and that some people feel the need to defend him.

I am not his greatest fan but he said "Something like" before it, it was stupid but not quite as stupid as portrayed.

He is advocating some kind of topical anti viral but not sure such a thing actually exists or is possible, I would imagine not.

He is in that place of not understanding the fundamentals so should just keep his trap shut rather than freestyling, I cant imagine the entire medical community will go "Good point Don, we hadn't thought of UV applied Topical Anti Viral cream therapy, we have tested it and it works, you da man"

It’s his arrogance. He thinks his totally unqualified medical opinion whilst just riffing in front of the worlds media will come up with something that the entire medical world hasn’t yet thought of. It’s just pathetic.

It's a stupid statement.

Stupid people who listen to Trump might follow it.

We end up with fewer stupid people listening to Trump.

And the problem is?

I am concerned he knows where the red button is.
Makers of some brands suggestion he is talking out where he sticks the UV lamps.

There is ALWAYS a form of mental gymnastics that can be brought into play to maintain denial. Always. It isn't a case of logical reasoning - it's protection of the ego. Which is another reason why he is a very damaging and dangerous individual.

Indeed. I'm no Trump fan, but you have to accept the media are partly to blame for this being spun up in the way it has.

Had the headline been 'Trump asks if it's possible to inject a disinfectant' which is more closely aligned to what he actually said, this thread wouldn't exist.

That's ignoring the fact that it's a moronic thing to even ponder. I stand by what I said though, he didn't suggest injecting disinfectant.
