Roof Struts refurb

Whilst my car is still held up at the paint sprayers - I don’t have much to be working on.

I do however, have two rather crappy looking roof struts, and I wanted to see if anyone has tarted these up at all.

I have used wet/dry and buffed with a mop on a drill bit still some heavy corrosion.

So debating if to buy another pair or see what I can do to these. Never chromed anything and don’t know process but could this be an option?

They can be reverse anodised and re-anodised. There seem to be a fair selection of firms online and they are small and light enough to send off.
