Battery charger conditioner for GT3

My 997.1 keeps having its battery drained by a tracker. Can't get mains into garage to trickle charge it. What charger can i buy that i can charge up and home and then put in car to trickle charge the battery please?

Doesn't matter how heavy - could do with more weight over the front...!

A trickle charger that you can charge up at home first and then place in the car?

I think what you're describing is a 'battery'.

If you're not driving the car for long periods you could buy a big leisure battery, charge it up, then drop it in the 'frunk' and connect it to the normal battery in parallel.

It would obviously need to be removed and charged periodically, but would significantly increase the the amount of time that your car can sit dormant without completely killing the main battery.

You could also have a set-up that allowed you to disconnect your main battery when the 'aux' battery was connected, keeping it in better condition.

No it’s not a battery - it’s a battery conditioner that I can charge up from the mains then leave trickling up the charge in the battery. Thanks anyhow.

Is the tracker an insurance requirement/active or is it an install from a previous owner?
If it’s not in use, you could install a battery cut off switch and/or have the tracker removed.
Alternatively, get a solar trickle charger and hope the cable is long enough for it to sit outside the garage.

Sorry, I think you’ve missed my point. How exactly would this removable trickle charger work?

It would need something to store the electrical energy when you plug it in your house. That would almost certainly be a battery of some sort.

But your actually 80Ah (example) car battery isn’t capable of running things without going flat in a given timeframe. So this removable trickle charger would need a battery that’s capable of powering your cars drain AND trickle charging / conditioning the battery.

So it would need to be a much bigger capacity than the existing battery in your car to be of any use.

It would also have two leads that you connect to your existing battery.

At which point, haven’t you basically just got the leisure battery with two leads that I described in my original comment?

Have to say it does sound like a leisure battery and a normal battery charger.would be a possible solution.
