Reclaiming Overpaid Business Rates

Hello all - as I have a fair amount of time on my hands I'm looking at money we left on the table in the past with a view to claiming it all back. I've found that we paid for over two years of business rates before we were granted small business rate relief as our office was below the lowest rateable value. Anyone got any advice on this?

So far I've mailed the business rates contact in the council for the advice on what forms we need but heard nothing unsurprisingly given they're mainly at home same as me.

Wait until the people who can deal with it have time to?

Just because you're bored now and didn't bother sorting it earlier why do you think you should be top of their priority list now?

I was asking whether people had advice not why I hadn't heard back yet. There are lots of business owners on PH so where's the harm in asking others of their experiences?

You will need to wait for your email to get to the top of the pile, it can take a couple of weeks even in the best of times!
