Is anyone interested in an iracing team for the endurance events?

Today’s the Nurburgring 24 hours and these events look like great fun

The top split has commentary from radio Le Mans

Yes the races are great fun.

In fact I'm taking part in the N24 at the moment.

And somehow I've ended up in a team with Joe Bradley (RLM) who is a good friend of mine, JM Littman and Adam Christoudulou.

Eeeek. No pressure then! (Not from Joe, he is rubbish at driving!!!)

At the moment its a recovery drive. After running 3rd we had a few accidents (Joe driving) and dropped to 26th or something, we are now back up to 10th.

I started the race yesterday in the 991 Cup class, PC crashed on the first lap... strange as it’s usually stable in iRacing! Have been practicing in some of the VLN 4 Hour races in the same car which have been good fun.

I would have liked to have tried competing as part of a team to see what it’s like from that aspect, but if my PC carries on like this I’d be more of a hinderance than a help!

I would like to have a go at this at some point. Strangely enough my iracing also crashed yesterday.... maybe the servers are too busy?

That’s interesting, possibly not due to my PC then - I’d hope their servers would be able to handle the load given the amount you have to pay for a subscription and the content eek

Given there are a few of us floating about on here, maybe we could organise to drop in an open practice session together and maybe run a ‘Team PH’ effort or 2 in the next 4 hour race?

I recognize most of you guys when I played iracing 7-8 years ago.

Being quick isn’t that important during the endurance events. Much better to be consistent and keep it out of the wall.

I’m thinking of racing the Z4 for next weekends vln if anyone is interested?

I would like to do the large endurance events too.
I’m in the USA ( I’m a Brit) so could work our well for the time zones

I’m happy to give that a bash, steered clear of the GT3 cars previously because I can’t tune for toffee and the amount of set up changes you can make frankly scares me.. Z4 drives nicely though and I should be able to be reasonably consistent with it!
