One of the problems we have is that 1) garages and owners are still not changing fuel lines quickly enough, and 2) the ones changed are often just the engine bay hoses and the rest of the car is forgotten about.

I've just changed hoses on a cerbera and there's a total of 8 individual hoses on this particular car.

Wow, I'm going to replace mine now. Is there a kit available with clips etc? which type of hose to suit modern fuel?

Very presumptuous. It could be a thousand different reasons. Car could have been damaged in garage or storage? Vandalised? Who said Police etc involved? Recovery driver might be glad of the work collecting it.

I'm not quoting it again but how about some sympathy for the person whose car has been destroyed ?

I use my Tuscan to get into central London, I don't regard myself as a key worker in comparison to the doctors and nurses but my employer does. Better make sure I drive a stty car next time in case I upset someone. Or not

I also used it on Saturday to go shopping...no one died.

Yup, I’ve been making my key worker trips and supply shopping in my Cerbera. I do have a daily driver but I had it laid up for work when lockdown started and the Cerb has been the most reliable and practical vehicle for me to have used, simple as that.

you joke but I remember people asking "how could the East Germans spy on their friends and family like that, would never happen here", the sad fact of the matter is that our behavior in this lockdown seems to point to the fact that we'd have been worse. My sister dips in and out of mumsnet and the vitriol displayed on there towards people who are not deemed to be showing the 'right amount' of hairshirt is staggering.
