Fast plugin hybrid estate?
Discussion
Morning all,
Looking to replace my 2017 Audi A6 Avant 3.0l 272 diesel later this year. I want a fast, comfortable plugin hybrid and was looking at the Volvo V90 T8, but they've just discontinued it! Only option now is the T6 which is considerably less potent. Can't have the V60 as the boot isn't big enough (I have a St Bernard!)
BMW only make the 530e in saloon version, and it looks like Audi is doing the same with the A6, I don't want another diesel so the Mercedes 300de is out.
Am I missing something? Does nobody make a good, fast, hybrid estate?
Cheers all, stay safe

If you are willing to buy secondhand, then go for a C350e or an E350e.
I have a St Bernard as well, and could get him in the C350e (but not much else!)

Failing that, the new BMW PHEVs are really good - the X5 45e is ace.

As mentioned BMW are bringing out a 330e estate but that may not be big enough. The FIL has recently bought a Range Rover Sport PHEV, it’s a lovely car but expensive. Land Rover are bringing out a few plug in cars across the range including the Evoque and Disco Sport but they may be a while away.
The V90 T8 is still available or get nearly new one and save over £10k!

Really don't think I could get my Saint on a C-class! He barely fits in the A6.I have a St Bernard as well, and could get him in the C350e (but not much else!)

I'd rather have an estate than a 4x4 but may have to look at something like an X5 or XC90.
Cheers, Neil.

Have you considered the Volvo XC60 or XC90? Both are offered in T8 tune with plug-in hybrid capability.
Having driven multiple examples of the V60, V90, XC60 and XC90, the only real difference in day to day use is the driving position/ride height.
Thanks, yeah I think the XC90 would be worth looking at.Having driven multiple examples of the V60, V90, XC60 and XC90, the only real difference in day to day use is the driving position/ride height.

The VW Passat GTE is a very good estate car with 20-30 miles real world battery range.
0-60 in 7.6s is a bit leisurely for my liking
Want something with a bit more oomph!I also run a 530e as a company car and the golf isn't that much slower in GTE mode.
