Not sure if this has been reported - but imposing rule by decree and the very right wing government about to outlaw trans gender rights....

This has been going on for sometime, he’s taken the opportunity to make a power grab, just like Erdogan and others. I’m not sure where this sits with EU rules during the crisis, but Hungary is not a functioning democracy now, which I understand is a condition of membership.

That said, all states are extending their powers at the moment, against that background it’s difficult to know what the EU can do in the short term.

Of course, if France implemented even more severe changes to government, the EU would look the other way and when questioned fudge the issue.
