What’s the difference in tips ?
Discussion
That seems to be correct as this topic had recently been discussed in the Facebook group. The thread starter there had posted:
"It appears AM have superceded the exhaust trim for the pre-2011 bumpers. I ordered a set through AMB and they now have smooth inner tubing rather than the mesh. It was queried and AM have confirmed that 'this is how they are now made'."
On the other hand my 17MY V8 Vantage S has still got perforated ones (and so do many other [younger] Vantage variants) so that I can´t really imagine mine should not be available any more. Perhaps it´s a different situation for pre and after MY12.25 exhaust tips?

I think that all of the 4.3 Vantages that I have seen do not have the mesh in their exhaust tips and it would appear that the mesh was introduced with the 4.7 engine. The two engines do have quite different exhaust notes and maybe that prompted the change?
Strange that the dealers are stating that the only ones available now do not have mesh
