Royal Mail currently- normal or slower?

I ordered two things from ebay that came RM Tracked 24 on the same day but from different ends of the country. One arrived the next day, the other took t0 days to come so looks like some mail centres are struggling.

Yep, about 10% of stuff is a week behind. It depends on which sorting offices it's going through on the way. Recorded and special delivery is on time (although special delivery now guaranteed as next day not before 1PM etc.) but at the expense of 1st and 2nd class with the latter being 10 days+ worst case.

Easter messed it up. Stuff posted Tuesday was generally slow to arrive. I expect similar will happen after both may bank holidays: it has in previous years

Sounds pretty normal to me.

We have took some volume from RM at Amazon recently. Amazon and RM have about 10 million packages and letters in the pipeline

Some things really slow. Sent a bag 2nd class signed for on the 15th April and the buyer still hasn’t received it and is beginning to get a bit pissed off.

Similarly my mum sent us, and each of the kids something in the post individually wrapped, 2/3 arrived late last week but the 3rd is nowhere to be seen yet.

I’ve had 2 packages arrive through Royal Mail. Both were sent 48hr delivery, one arrived next day, one within 48hrs. Herefordshire.

Think they're doing ok given current circ's.

Doing ok... there doing a tremendous job I’m lucky I’m in then office side of amazon now the guys the shop floor and delivery drivers are amazing.

Amazon it’s self they have went beyond in looking after there staff in a delivery station

My dad said they are busier than Christmas with less staff. That’s the Liverpool depots anyway.

The estate I live on has had 1 mail delivery a week for the past 3 weeks and each time it was on a Sunday (strangely)

Variable here. First class is generally turning up next day but second class is anything between a week and still waiting after 2 weeks.

Royal mail. Only delivering every other day here at work apparently due to lack of demand. At home still daily but seems to take about a week for home post to arrive 1st class.

Hermes. Delivering as normal but taking ages.

Parcel Force. Already "lost" 2 packages for me. One ended up in Newcastle where the track ended and the other was just lost into a black hole as soon as it was sent. Never had that happen before..

Amazon. Still delivering but not the normal driver and seems to take about a week.

Amazon seem to be almost back to normal for me, nearly everything has popped back up to next day delivery as opposed a month's time.

Royal Mail is fubar’d for me at the moment (Bedfordshire), a local company I use, sent something to me and it took a week to get here, it had to go 12 miles! They have had lots of reports of this so have dropped RM and doing hand delivery.

I’m waiting for a package from Sherwood Forest, tomorrow will be 2 weeks, and it’s still not here!

I run a mail order business and we use RM for 99% of our stuff.

2nd class is anything from 3 days to never seen again at the moment. 1st class can be next day to 5 days. Customers can be anything from understanding and patient to mad with rage.
