440i PPF Introduction Date
Discussion
Hi Guys
Once the world starts spinning again I'll be in the market up 440i Convertible to replace my partner's car.
I've narrowed my search to 16 and 66 reg cars to avoid the PPF and other WLTP adjustments and hopefully have a little more noise. I've been working on the presumption that from the 17 plate onward LCI these cars all had the PPF in place, however I learned earlier this eve that the WLTP regs didn't come into force until 1st Sept 2017, so I'm hoping that someone may be able to advise if 17 reg cars have or do not have a PPF?
Thanks in advance

I believe you're looking for option 1DE (or S1DEA - Exhaust emission standards EU6 RDE) which was part of builds from July 2018 onwards. Cars built earlier don't have it. I think that's confirmed here: https://www.bmwblog.com/2018/05/31/all-bmw-petrol-...
Also remember that cars registered from April 2017 onwards fall under the increased road tax for the first 5 (or is it 6) years of it's life thanks to a new list price of over £40k.
