For me Concorde by a countty mile

But i do get all dewy eyed at the Constellation 1049 lovely curved fuselage, 757 seems to have a bit of that also

The DC-8-63

Vickers VC10 is one of the best-looking aircraft of any sort, ever, by my reckoning:

I like long-bodied quad-jets, so I agree with the Douglas DC-8:

and I also like the Airbus A340:

I always thought that of the tri-jets the L1011 was the handsomest:

At the other end of the scale, I've always liked the Fokker F28. Just nicely proportioned:

Piaggio Avanti. Controversially, I like the A380 nose on, wings loaded, the more vapour trails, the better.

This, and Concorde. Different style, so I reckon I can safely sit on the fence with this one smile

Concorde
Comet
VC-10

And an honourable mention for the Super Constellation.

And in the spirit of the other thread Mosquito. (which was used for passengers).

Livery makes a difference.
The Hawker Siddeley Trident in BEA colours looks handsome, less so in British airways livery.

The Fireflash airliner by far was the best,
but the lack of government support meant it went the way of the TSR2 and all the other great 60's designs...................

I was actually going to put the Trident on my list, but looking through the online pics it really is incredibly livery-dependent. The original BEA 'red square' scheme really works for the Trident but, as you say, the pre-Landor BA paintjob doesn't do it any favours. Brighter colours seem to work on it - it looks good in Channel Airways, Cyprus Airways and Northeast livery too.

Thread should really be 'good looking passenger aircraft other than Concorde'.

Agree on the VC10 and A340.

Would also suggest the Beech Starship, and the Bristol Britannia in the right colours.

The Bombardier Global 6000 has an almost VC10-like elegance about it,

VC10 for me also, but Lockheed always made a good looking airliner - Tristar, Constellation & Electra (L188) and for something Soviet the TU-114 & TU-154.

I was going to mention the Bae 164. They are great little planes, and accelerate like buggery.

I think the clean fuselage and wing of the VC10 or similar is what makes them so appealing.

I presume you mean one of these -
