Started the job of replacing my steering wheel on the F-type. Air bag itself was removed fairly easy, but a little unsure how to remove these connectors and they look fragile. On the older Jags the orange tabs seem to slide back, then pull the connector off upwards pressing in the side tabs, but these are different.

Jaguar workshop manual says "Release the locking tang and disconnect the electrical connector" Any suggestions??

They look very similar, if not identical, to the steering wheel airbag connector on a Peugeot.
On a Peugeot you pop off the orange cap by sliding a small flat blade screwdriver up underneath it. Once the orange cap is released the yellow connector can be pulled out from the airbag.
(Remember to disconnect the car battery first wink )

Orange locking tab lifts out with a small screwdriver.

Got it, thanks for your help. Just wanted to double check.

And yes, battery was disconnected smile Guess I wouldn't be writing this if not.
