Hi there,

Just thought I'd introduce myself, I have been an unoffical member of the nobility for just over a month what I mean by this is I have purchased my dream motor after many years of looking in from the outside.. Only to drive the thing for 5 mins. The car unfortunately had a dead battery and I stupidly let my mate try jump start it. Being a trusted mate I let him loose on my pride and joy, he inadvertedly connected the jump leads the wrong way around on the starter motor and consequently fried the wiring loom as well as the starter motor!!

Anyway to cut a long story short I am due to pick the car up tomorrow for hopefully a trouble free drive. (I'm even still talking to my friend) it feels like I'm about to pick it up for the first time can't wait (although I can wait to see the bill!) Anyway here I am and hopefully I can share my experiences with some of you on this forum its been interesting over the last couple of weeks reading some of the posts on here.

Cheers Warren

I think I can be safe in saying it was an operator error rather than a fault with the car. My only prob was being impatient and trusting my friend rather than wait and get it looked at properly, must say though they don't make it easy for you with the battery location!

Congratulations. I hope it's trouble free from here on (as I hope for mine when it comes back from the garage).

So that's your car... Whilst reading your post I coupldn't help thinking that I'd heard this somewhere before. Now I know where I was down at said service centre a couple of weeks back to get the passenger door lock fixed. The story was told and I remember thinking, poor b****r!

Hope you enjoy it once it's back on the road and welcome to the best motoring club around

Dom.

All things considered they are very reasonable on the repair costs, I'm sure they will have fun telling future customers about it though! I'll be picking it up tomorrow afternoon...

Welcome to the club, you'll find Noble owners a cut above the rest. Well, all except me!
