I would guess that your best bet will be buying one from the UK. Such as: http://www.lakewell.com/tvr/wedge/soft-top-restora...

I doubt you could have one custom made for less. IIRC, I was quoted maybe $1,500 locally. I lucked out and found a used one on eBay.

Also, I'd do a search on the UK PH forum. Might be something more up to date.

Grady, Thank you for your reply, Lakewell is the only source that I found with internet search.
I'm sure we have capable marine shops that can do the work locally, but I think you're right with
custom price. Although price is a consideration , fit and finish is paramount.

Has anyone on here used Lakewell for a hood? I'm tempted but i'd love a first hand account from a human first.
Best,

You're better off getting a local trimmer with the experience of working on soft tops to look at what you have, 'fix it' then make up a new soft top based upon the fixed version.

I'd agree with the last comments... I bought one off the shelf years ago. Nothing wrong with the hood, it was great quality. The problem was that all the cars are different. I was lucky and managed to get a local trimmers to get it to fit. When I was speaking to the guy at the trimmers he said they always use the old hood as a template as no two cars were exactly the same. Cheers Steve

They have done my roof. Can recommend them.
On their website under wedges, the pictures are of my wedge.

They got hold of the last wedge roof kit from the Belgium importer before he closed shop and they probably use that as a templete for the sets if you order one.

You will need the seal that runs around the leading edge if the hoop, unless yours can be taken off and stuck back on.

Thank you Adam, the existing one is pretty well shot.
