Curved trumpets
Discussion
Had anyone added curved trumpets for increased lenght? Eliseparts do a set for the s1 and s2 elises with a cord lenght of 135mm. Jenvey sells something at too. Has anyone done same on a Caterham fitted with jenveys and a Bernards air box limiting the trumpets to 90mm.
Should be a good Solution for not cutting a hole on the bonnet.

The height may be an issue with the curved trumpets since you need a fair bit of airspace behind the bell mouth or flow will be badly restricted. Asymmetric trumpets give a very good result WRT to torque and power, linger trumpets tend to favour mid range at the expense of the top end and vice versa.
Also not sure that the Eliseparts kit is a direct fit to the Jenveys or whether the Eliseparts TB kit is a good fit to a Caterham.
On the Elise, Bernard used to do a super long airbox with much longer asymmetric trumpets. It would be impossible to accomodate the extra length within the confines of the Caterham engine bay.
