Fuel pressure regulator making noise ?
Discussion
Hey,
I plugged in my Dephi scan tool and ran a test on fuel relay, so it activates whole fueling system. After that, while the test was running, I noticed fuel pressure regulator making noises. It sometimes makes those noises when I turn the ignition on. So what is it about ? Why is it making that noise ? Car is Audi a3 8l 1.6 2001.

It's a variable restricter with fuel passing through it. Sometimes the fluid makes noises, just like the noise from wind passing over your car when you're driving. It's perfectly normal. The ECU typically runs the pump briefly at power up to prime the fuel system. All perfectly normal.
