Hi all,

Does anyone happen to know where the bonnet release catch (ie attached to bonnet itself - the one you reach your fingers under the bonnet lip to open it) comes from? Imagine it’s a Ford or Volvo part? Mine‘s a little rusty and it looks like an easy replace!

Thanks in advance

Matt

Happy VE Day everyone!

Sorry to bump this back to the top but I’m surprised (with the incredible amount of knowledge on here) that nobody seems to know the answer to this.

I’ve had a look at Volvo\Jag parts from the era but no luck so far...

Grateful if anyone knows!

Take it off, hand to local powdercoating company with a small amount of cash, wait a few hours, fix back onto car. Will be cheaper and better finish than factory.

I got both wing mirror arms stripped and coated for £100 in Oxford, UK.
