Weekend Car for £6K

Thinking of getting myself a weekend fair weather toy. Doesn’t need 4 seats and not bothered if it needs fiddling with 👍

Audi TT MK1 3.2 or 1.8 225 Obviously for that money it’s going to be a low mileage mint car
Mazda MX5 3.5 2lt Sport Tech
Hotish hatch Clio 200

Or go for a classic like an MGB GT, Spitfire and the like

Any other suggestions welcome 🙏

Other two aren’t weekend cars they are dailies.

I’ve had 3 Clio’s sports and 3 mx5s. the mx5 will make you smile much more on a sunny Sunday.

Boxster! There’s another recent thread with several links to seemingly decent examples for £6k.

Mk3 MR2? For that money you could get a really nice one with a turbo or a 2zz engine and have a little change left over.

My money would be on a 2zz swapped mk3 MR2 also. Sound epic with the engine behind you. You can actually drive it a 9/10ths on the road without fearing your license.
