Hi,
my office is moving so i will be getting a 20 mile commute. There are options on the route , motorway or country lanes. I have a full license but haven't ridden for years. I am quite short and heavy so will need something with some power and a lowish seat that is easy to ride and handle,

what are your thoughts?

cheers
Rich

If it is purely for commuting that distance, then a big scooter.

V Strom.

650 or 1000. Unless you are north of 29 stone the 650 is all you need.

Yamaha Fazer 600.

Does everything well. Isn’t anything special.

But it’s great.

Old enough to be cheap. Great fueling on carbs, easy to work on. Still nippy enough.

My current choice for the daily grind.

If you really want to beat the traffic, let's not mess about: what you need is a Kawasaki Ninja H2...

(Otherwise I agree with the large capacity scooter option. Nice warm jacket and gloves and the commute suddenly become more comfy).

My FZ1 is almost perfect for commuting into London and is adequate on less encumbered roads.
