Hi
My 2009 6.2 VXR8 is finally due it's first set of replacement front pads...…they've done well!.
What is generally advised for normal, non-track driving?
Sorry for the mundane question.
Also what oil filter is recommended?
Thanks

Pedders UK for the pads.
And contact AAS Newcastle for a filter, they'll probably send a Royal purple filter.
Alternatively MWP specialise in these cars and might have both on the shelf.
I personally am more than happy with OEM service stuff.

Contact Pedders UK, and order a set of Pedders ceramic pads. I have AP's on my Monaro and these pads are very good hot or cold.
They have a low dust compound so your wheels stay a lot cleaner and will prevent residue build up on the brake disc which can cause vibration when braking.

Obviously check for yourself using part numbers.
AC Delco are very often the OEM supplier of many parts.

As others have said go to Pedders for your pads. You get new pins with them.
While you have got the. wheels off it wouldn't hurt to check your discs for wear
